At its core, Galantis are two friends making music together. The fact that they’re Christian Karlsson, aka Bloodshy, and Linus Eklöw, aka Style of Eye, is what impacts the plot of the story. The accomplished duo’s groundbreaking work as Galantis destroys current electronic dance music tropes, demonstrating that emotion and musicianship can indeed coexist with what Eklöw calls “a really really big kind of vibe.”

Country of origin: Sweden
Biggest production credits:
Christian Karlsson on Britney Spears’ “Toxic”
Linus Eklöw on Icona Pop’s “I Love It” (feat. Charli XCX)
Their first-ever gig: Coachella, 2014
First genres/bands they fell in love with:
Karlsson: punk rock, then hip-hop
Eklöw: Rage Against The Machine, followed by jazz and soul
If they could runaway to any place in the world, they’d go to: their studio.
